Today is one of those days I don’t think I’m being a good mom, the day where my child is screaming for hours on end and nothing seems to be doing the trick. One of those days where you want to just walk out of the house and let someone else deal with the screaming. Yet you remain calm, you continue to care for your screaming child, doing everything you can to try to calm them down. You still love your child no matter how loud or how long they scream, you aren’t a bad parent for feeling this way. Every parent gets overwhelmed especially in the beginning; parenthood doesn’t have a rule book, we’re all just figuring it out as we go along. So for now, enjoy the screaming, inconsolable child because in a few years they’re gonna be independent, they won’t want to snuggle mama, and soon after that they’ll be out of the house and you’ll miss those screaming baby days.
